Aurora Fireworks

Robert Byles established Aurora Fireworks in 1996, based in the village of Wisborough Green in West Sussex. Aurora is a family run business, which has grown continuously over nearly two decades. It is conducting over 100 shows annually in the UK and Europe; over 50 of these are during “Bonfire Season” with up to 20 displays being fired in a single night.

Robert passed on his passion for fireworks to his son Stephen who is technical director and has achieved a Fire and Safety Management BSc, Fire & Explosion MSc as well as experience at Moreton-in-Marsh Fire Service College and Cranfield Military College specialising in explosives.

Aurora and its team of over 20 staff, through education and experience carried out a fireworks display on the roof of the tallest residential building in the United Kingdom, The Manchester Hilton at 50 Storeys 171 meters tall in 2006. Previous clients have included Kia, BMW, Novartis, The Financial Times, The Miller Group, Arena Leisure and many others.

Aurora utilises modern techniques to perform spectacular fireworks displays, from Wireless Firing Systems, Non-Pyrogen igniters and high quality Bose external sound systems. Using our long standing relationship with factories in China over the last nearly 20 years Aurora has developed innovative new effects designing a whole range of Low Noise devices that allow displays to take place in nearly any location.
